I hate the argument that the older centers like Karrem and Wilt played against inferior competition. There were less teams in the league, so they had to play against other hall of fame centers 8-12 times a year. Wilt had to battle Russell, Thurmond, Schayes, Unseld, and Kareem. I always rank 1 and 2 at the center apot as Kareem, then Wilt. Kareem was the ultimate champion, the former all time points leader, and was called the Captain for a reason. Wilt is the most dominant force, perhaps in all of sports, that we have ever seen. Shaq is my 4th behind Hakeem.

Key really botched the Pacers trade. It was a 7 man trade yes, but not 1 Bull for 6 Pacers lmao. Indiana sent a 10+ PPG scorer in Travis Best and Jalen Rose (stupidly after he finally became a 20 PPG scorer) alongside a rookie they weren’t playing and a 2nd round pick in exchange for Ron Mercer (averaged 19.7 PPG the prior year), Brad Miller (was putting up the same numbers that got him two All-Star appearances the next two seasons one in each conference), Kevin Ollie and Ron Artest.

MLB owners pay for those facilities in Latin American countries because they can get those kids as teenagers for cheap and they don’t have to deal with the draft process. Well, let’s be honest if they could they would trade every last one of those Spanish-speaking players for a Hank Aaron or Willie maze tomorrow.

David Justice is correct! They have priced Blacks out of baseball! It is costly and requires additional training sessions outside of normal practice. It is by far the most expensive sport, but we loved it. I wish my son would have chosen it over football.

Because we’re in America… we’re not a 3rd world country… everyone has bad days and everyone gets caught up and bad situations but it doesn’t matter you gotta go make ur money, no excuses. You can’t provide ur kid then that’s on you… I’m not paying for it like my taxes pay for everything else… I already have to overpay so I don’t have to pay so much in at the end of the year. my kids live amazing and I work like a madman for them to live the way they do.

Fix and change? The young black males have made their decision, it's football and basketball. Baseball is not like those sports. Baseball is a lotnof failure and time spent in the minors, for little pay and 90% of those drafted don't play in the majors. Baseball is one sport where athleticism is not enough to get by on, it may get you drafted, but every year 800+ people are grtting drafted and another few hundred that weren't drafted are signed after the draft. Then you add all the players from central and south America, there's too much competition. Plus, your first 6 years or so, after you make the league you don't make much money. Most players don't get to make the bag until they are 28 and older

A single player doesn’t have buy all the gear. I didn’t, I bought and glove and found a ball. And the glove doesn’t wear out like a vinyl BB. Baseball is cheaper actually. Not an expert, but maybe they just don’t want to play in the MLB. They want to play in the NBA and NFL. If they are smart, they’ll play a sport that they are better suited for. My kids high school volleyball team average height 5’5”. IMO if you’re over 6 ft, learn volleyball, it’ll get you a better chance at a scholarship than basketball or football.
